Qamar's Story:
I am from Afghanistan. I had to flee because the Taliban invaded and took over my nation, putting our lives in danger I had to leave. I immigrated to the United States on August 28, 2021. My household consists of five people. My parents and my sibling are still in Afghanistan. I chose the Fried chicken dish simply because it is traditional of our culture to enjoy. It is simple to prepare and cook fried chicken. I get memories of my time in Afghanistan when I eat this food. This meal is prepared during our gatherings. I would like to share it with others, so others can enjoy what we Afghans delight in I enjoy making and cooking fried chicken at home, and my long-term goal is to sell it.
