Razia's Story:
I am from Afghanistan. Due to the Taliban taking control of my country and making life unsafe, I immigrated to the United States on August 24, 2021, with m y family of six. I had to leave my parents and my siblings back home in Afghanistan. I chose to make Kabab it is simple and part of our culture. Other countries have their way of making this dish but in my household it’s one of our favorites. Eating this makes me think about Afghanistan and all the memories that come with it. We prepare this dish almost all wedding ceremonies and parties. I want people to be aware of our cuisine and culture when enjoying every bite of these kababs. I intend to sell the food I cook at home to share something from our culture with others
